About Envisage

Enabling new and growing brands to stand out in a saturated market and established brands to dare to do things differently.
The Envisage Story
It all started in 1953, when W Colin Hulme began crafting signage and shop fittings from a small workshop on Sturgess Street. By the mid-70s, the company had grown into W Colin Hulme and Sons, formally incorporating in 1976 – the same year the NEC first opened its doors, setting the stage for a bold new direction. Just a few years later, Envisage made its first move into exhibitions, bringing its eye for detail and passion for visual storytelling into a whole new arena.
Throughout the 80s and 90s, the business evolved fast – rebranding as Advertising Constructions in 1984 to reflect its new global outlook, relocating to Kimberley House, then eventually settling in Brick Kiln Lane, which still houses the team today. From pioneering CNC routing technology in 2006 to undergoing a management buyout in 2009, every step has been fuelled by a commitment to innovation and craft. Along the way, the business has continued to evolve its name and identity – becoming Envisage in 2003, ENV!SAGE in 2016, and finally, Envisage Associates in 2019.
But while the branding has shifted, the heart of the business hasn’t. Today, Envisage brings together decades of hands-on expertise with a future-focused mindset – designing high-impact exhibition spaces, retail interiors and bespoke brand activations that push boundaries and spark real connection. It’s a story built on trust, craft, and a belief in the power of experience – and it’s still being written.
